Africa-Press – Mozambique. Mozambique and Cameroon have confirmed their starting lineups ahead of their group-stage meeting, with both coaches revealing clear tactical intentions.
The Mambas line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, led by Ivane Urrubal in goal and a back four of Diogo Calila, Chamboco, Edmilson and Nanani. In midfield, M.Kambala and Nenê provide protection, allowing captain Dominguês to orchestrate play alongside G. Catamo and Gildo Vilanculos, while S. Ratifo leads the attack.
Cameroon, on the other hand, deploy a 3-5-2 system as they look to control the game through numbers in midfield. Devis Epassy starts in goal behind a three-man defense of captain Nicolas Tolo, Gerzino Nyamsi and Flavien Boyomo.
The wing-backs M. Nagida and Bryan Mbeumo are expected to stretch play, with Carlos Baleba, Olivier Kemen and Danny Namaso forming the midfield engine room. Up front, Frank Magri partners C. Kofane in attack.
While Cameroon are still pushing for a decisive result to strengthen their position, Mozambique already take to the field with qualification secured, having benefited from results in other groups.
Nevertheless, pride, momentum and a potential higher group finish remain on the line, setting the stage for a competitive and engaging encounter between the two sides.
