Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Fifth Section of the Judicial Court of the city of Nampula decided to rule in favour of a part of the appeal filed by Renamo, relating to the discrepancy in the data contained in the district tabulation edital of the results of the local elections.
The Court orders the Nampula District Elections Commission to correct the abovementioned data and to validate the original editais from the’ EP1 de Nahene’ and the ‘Pavilhão dos Desportos,’” presented by the Renamo.
However, the part of the appeal relating to the alleged taint of the computer system – by a hacker- in the calculation of data and validation of the results of the count.
According to STV, which provides the information, the Renamo party has already scheduled a press conference in Nampula to react to these decisions.
