Africa-Press – Mozambique. This morning (09-07), the Federation of Business Associations of Mozambique (CTA) held a productive session on the draft Lei de Conteúdo Local (Local Content Law). The online event featured presentations by Adrian Frey, President of the Pelouro de Planificação e Conteúdo Local, and CTA economist Samo Dique, along with input from a range of public and private sector stakeholders.
With over 100 attendees, the discussion provided valuable private sector perspectives and highlighted the CTA’s key input regarding the proposed legislation. One major takeaway was the recommendation to extend the timeline for submitting feedback by several months, allowing stakeholders more time to thoroughly review and respond to the draft.
Links to the presentation materials and the proposed law – available in both English and Portuguese – are to be found below.
