Africa-Press – Mozambique. The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, has by Presidential Order promoted Chief Superintendent of Migration Denise Afonso Zaqueu Zandamela to the rank of Commissioner of Migration, in the Class of Commissioned Officers. He will now serve as Deputy Director-General of Migration, reads a statement issued by te Presidency on Monday.
Under the same legal provision, by separate Presidential Order, the head of state promoted Chief Superintendents of Migration Elias Naissone, Flávia Eva Maziquimbe, Jorge Alexandre Bande, and Mário Elias to the rank of First Deputy to the Commissioner of Migration, in the Class of Commissioned Officers.
The President acted within the powers conferred upon him under the provisions of the law pertaining to the National Migration Service, upon a proposal from the minister overseeing migration, after consultation with the National Council of Defence and Security.
