Fallen Streetlight Disrupts Traffic on Eduardo Mondlane

Africa-Press – Mozambique. Traffic circulation on Eduardo Mondlane Avenue in Maputo is being affected by the falling over of a streetlight pole today near Eduardo Mondlane Secondary School.

According to witnesses, the pole was blown down by strong winds in the capital, blocking the Alto-Maé – Ponto Final route. The falling pole hit a semi-public passenger transport vehicle on the Anjo Voador/Xipamanine route, which suffered minor physical damage, but with no injuries reported.

Traffic Police are on site directing traffic, which is being diverted to the opposite side of the road while solutions to remove the obstacle are sought.
