Africa-Press – Mozambique. Galp Mozambique has launched its Vocational Light project, in partnership with AIESEC, a career guidance program that aims to support young Mozambican students in discovering their talents and interests, thus promoting more informed decisions about their academic and career future.

The launch ceremony took place at Bonifácio Gruveta Secondary School, in the Khongolote neighbourhood, and marked the start of the four-week educational program taking place at two schools in the capital: Bonifácio Gruveta and Malhazine.

Aimed at young people between the ages of 14 and 20, Vocational Light offers a practical and inspiring approach to career guidance, allowing participants to develop multiple skills, gain exposure to different professional fields, and understand the dynamics of the job market in Mozambique and globally.

“Transforming the future starts by investing in people. Vocational Light is a concrete youth empowerment initiative, aligned with Galp’s vision for inclusive, sustainable development, and focused on Mozambican talent. We want these young people to dream, but also to have the means and guidance necessary to achieve their life projects with confidence and purpose,” emphasized Marlena Chambule, Director of Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility at Galp in Mozambique.

This partnership with AIESEC – a global network of young talent – reinforces Galp’s commitment to the communities where it operates, actively contributing to building a more informed society prepared for the challenges of the job market.
