Africa-Press – Mozambique. To facilitate the production and transportation of agricultural products to marketing areas, Maputo province will acquire 21 tractors during the current five-year period.
A total of twenty-one tractors will be purchased at a discounted rate and allocated to producers at various locations throughout the province.
At a provincial meeting that brought together the government and private producers in Boane, the Executive Council signed a memorandum with the company ENTREPOSTO to further the initiative.
The Governor of Maputo Province, Manuel Tule, affirmed that this and other measures are being adopted to respond to the agricultural sector, focusing on reducing agricultural imports.
The meeting is being held under the motto: “Private and Association Sectors as Drivers of the Agricultural Value Chain.”
