Africa-Press – Mozambique. More than 2,500 students displaced as a result of terrorist attacks in Ancuabe district, Cabo Delgado province, have been placed in various schools in the city of Pemba.

Director of District Education, Youth and Technology Services in Pemba, José Compeu, warned that the number may be an underestimate given that students arrive in Pemba from Ancuabe, a district hit by terrorist incursions since the end of June, on a daily basis.

José Compéu said that the education sector in Pemba was working with the Ancuabe district government so that no child who arrived in the provincial capital was left without the opportunity to continue their studies.
