Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Minister of Economy, Basílio Muhate, received in audience the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Mozambique, Mansour Muhammad Aljuward, for a working meeting focused on strengthening economic and trade relations between Mozambique and the UAE.
During the meeting, the parties analysed the current status of negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and discussed instruments for investment protection. The organisation of a bilateral (Mozambique–United Arab Emirates) business forum was also addressed, aimed at promoting business opportunities and fostering partnerships between the private sectors of both countries.
The meeting further evaluated the potential signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the Tourism sector, aiming to enhance investment flows and technical cooperation in this strategically important area for the country’s economic development.
In this context, the Ministry of Economy reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to deepening commercial partnerships and attracting investment, consolidating Mozambique’s position as a dynamic and strategic partner in international economic relations.
