Africa-Press – Mozambique. Cement producer Moçambique Dugongo Cimentos announced on Sunday (August 29) that the price of its ‘32.5N’ cement would increase from this Wednesday, 1st of September.
According to the note seen by Carta de Moçambique and confirmed by the company’s commercial area representative, Carolina Wang, 32.5N cement in bags will cost 15 meticais more per bag, and the 32.5N cement bulk price will rise by 300 meticais per ton.
Dugongo Mozambique justifies the price revision with “the increase in sea freight [costs]” and the need to “improve services in the long term”.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused by these price changes. At the same time, we will continue to repay the trust and support of our customers with high quality products and excellent service,” the document says.
Carolina Wang told Carta that both clients with and without contracts at the institution will be charged the new, higher prices.
