Africa-Press – Mozambique. The 59th edition of FACIM, Mozambique’s largest international trade event, concluded last Sunday with great success, marking one of the most impressive showcases in recent years. With thousands of visitors, numerous international exhibitors, and a dynamic display of industrial potential, FACIM once again highlighted Mozambique’s growing appeal as a premier business and investment destination.
MozParks and APIEX win Best Innovation award
In a significant highlight of the event, MozParks, in collaboration with the Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Exports (APIEX), proudly received the Best Innovation award for the design and execution of the Industrialization Pavilion. This recognition reflects the ongoing leadership of both organizations in advancing Mozambique’s industrial development and fostering innovation within the sector.
The Industrialization Pavilion, a central feature of FACIM 2024, showcased the industrial strength and diversity of Mozambique. Designed to emphasize the importance of the country’s industrial sector in national development, the pavilion brought together leading companies from various sectors, highlighting their contributions to economic growth and job creation. With major partners such as Mozal, Emose Seguros, Raxio, and Gapi, the pavilion became a hub of interaction and insight, showcasing the innovation and expertise driving Mozambique’s industrial growth. The presence of these key industry players further cemented the pavilion’s role in fostering connections and inspiring the next generation of professionals.
The Industrialization Pavilion also became a focal point for discussions around youth employment, led by the MozYouth Foundation, an initiative dedicated to empowering young people in Mozambique and preparing them for the labor market. Throughout the week, many young visitors engaged with employment experts, seeking advice and guidance on career opportunities, participating in resume building workshops, cognitive testing and practical discussions. The participation of organizations such as Muva, Girl Move, further enriched the pavilion’s offerings, providing essential resources and mentorship to inspire and support the next generation of professionals. This collaborative effort emphasized the critical importance of fostering youth employment in Mozambique’s industrial future.
With FACIM 2024 setting a new standard for industrial showcases in Mozambique, MozParks is eager to continue its mission of driving sustainable industrial growth in the country. The Best Innovation award reinforces the company’s commitment to cultivating an ecosystem where innovation, investment, and industrialization thrive.
