Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Tete municipal police, in collaboration with the National Inspectorate of Economic Activities (INAE), this Tuesday destroyed 200 boxes of ‘Xivotxongo’.
The incineration took place at the municipal landfill under the supervision of local authority representatives.
According to official information, the product was seized last week during inspections aimed at preventing the sale and consumption of unauthorized beverages.
Authorities have warned that ‘Xivotxongo’ poses serious risks to public health, and its sale and consumption are strictly prohibited.
Tete municipality sees the action as reaffirming its commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the population and reinforcing its determination to be a benchmark for development and resilience.
