Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Council of Ministers this Tuesday (17-10) discussed concession negotiations for the Ressano Garcia Border Post Remodelling and Modernization Project in Maputo province.
The project falls under Measure 11 of the Economic Acceleration Measures Package (PAE), which deals with improving the competitiveness of national airports and logistics corridors.
The government explains that the remodelling and modernization project aims to build a modern infrastructure that is suitable for the implementation of digital processes in order to simplify and speed up the flow of entry and exit of people and goods between Mozambique and South Africa, with positive economic impact, especially in the Maputo Port corridor.
In a communique sent to ‘Carta’, the Council of Ministers notes that, during the 35th ordinary session, the executive approved the decree approving the Regulation on Registration and Licensing of Intermediary Providers and Electronic Services and Digital Platform Operators.
“The Intermediary Electronic Services Provider and the Digital Platform Operator are legal entities that carry out commercial and financial transactions via the Internet, providing access, hosting, transmission and indexing content, products and services originated by third parties,” the statement adds.
At the same cabinet meeting, minister also approved the decree that adjusts the structure and functioning of the National Institute for the Development of Education, referred to as INDE for short, created by Decree No. 23/2014, of 16 May.
The National Institute for Education Development is a public institution endowed with legal personality and administrative, technical-scientific and pedagogical autonomy, responsible for educational research, technical-pedagogical assistance and learning assessment.
