Africa-Press – Mozambique. More than 100 motorcycles were seized by the Municipal Council of Nacala Porto, Nampula province, due to a lack of documentation.
The local authority’s measure aims to reinforce compliance with traffic regulations and promote road safety.
Among the irregularities identified were the absence or expiration of registration certificates and lack of vehicle registration documents.
According to the municipality, the operation is part of a continuous effort to improve urban planning and hold drivers accountable, especially in the motorcycle segment, which represents a significant portion of informal transport in the city.
