Africa-Press – Mozambique. The President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence and Security Forces of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi, this Wednesday afternoon met in Pemba with high-ranking members of the Mozambican defence forces and the SADC and Rwandan contingents involved in the fight against terrorism in Cabo Delgado.
According to a statement from the Presidency, one of the objectives of the meeting, held on Wednesday (15-06) afternoon in the city of Pemba, was to ascertain the progress of operations in the Northern Operational Theatre.
Military forces from the SADC and Rwanda are supporting the Mozambican army in the fight against terrorism in the Northern Operational Theatre.
