Africa-Press – Mozambique. The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, is making a two-day working visit to the city of Maputo this Friday to learn about the socioeconomic situation in the various municipal districts and strengthen dialogue with the population.
During the visit, Chapo will visit the municipal districts of KaMavota, KaMpfumo, and KaTembe, attending a series of meetings and a public rally.
During the visit, the Head of State will meet municipal administrators, neighbourhood secretaries and community leaders to discuss issues of local governance and urban development.
The agenda also includes meetings with young people and economic agents to hear their concerns and analyse investment opportunities for local economic development.
Accompanying the President of the Republic on this visit are the Minister of State Administration and Civil Service Inocêncio Impissa; the Minister of the Interior Paulo Chachine; the Minister of Youth and Sports Caifadine Manasse; the Minister of Education and Culture Samaria Tovela;, the Minister of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs Mateus Saize; and the Minister in the President’s Office for Civil Matters, Ricardo Sengo.
The President this morning received the key to the city of Maputo at a ceremony in the Municipal Council building, where he also signed the guest book marking the beginning of Daniel Chapo’s first visit to the capital as Head of State.
The President then left for Laulane neighbourhood, in KaMavota municipal district, where he chaired an extraordinary session of the Maputo city government, extended to the members of the Maputo Municipal Council.
Upon his arrival, the President of the Republic received greetings from the public and members of the Frelimo party waiting outside the Council of State Representation Services building, and a report on the current situation of Maputo was presented.
