Africa-Press – Mozambique. The President of Timor-Leste, José Ramos-Horta, and his delegation arrived at Maputo International Airport, Mozambique, at 8:30 am on Wednesday July 3, 2024.

The delegation was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Mozambique, Verónica Macamo, the Ambassador of Mozambique to Indonesia and Timor-Leste, Belmiro Malate , accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Timor-Leste, Bendito Freitas, and the Ambassador of Timor-Leste to Mozambique, Luís Miguel Sequeira.

During his visit to Mozambique, President Ramos-Horta will hold a meeting with the President of Mozambique, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi.

The President of Timor Leste will also participate in bilateral meetings, followed by the signing of agreements and a joint press conference with President Nyusi.

The president’s program in Mozambique will also include laying a wreath at Heroes’ Square, receiving the Key to the City of Maputo, meeting with the President of the Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique, Esperança Bias, attending a state banquet at the Ponta Vermelha Palace, giving a lecture at Eduardo Mondlane University on “Timor-Leste, the Region and the World,” and visiting the CPLP Strategic Analysis Centre.
