Africa-Press – Mozambique. SADC work in Mozambique was at the top of the agenda at the regional bloc ministerial troika meeting in Pretoria.
South Africa’s International Relations Minister Naledi Pandor chaired the session looking at the situation in Cabo Delgado.
The Extraordinary Meeting of the Ministerial Committee of the SADC Organ Troika plus the Personnel Contributing Countries and the Republic of Mozambique took place in Pretoria, Republic of South Africa, on Thursday and was attended by Ministers responsible for Foreign Affairs and Defence from the SADC Organ Troika Member States. Also in attendance, were the Personnel Contributing Countries and the Republic of Mozambique.
The Meeting was chaired by Naledi Pandor, Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa and Chair of the Ministerial Committee of the Organ (MCO) on Politics, Defence and Security.
The Ministerial Meeting was preceded by a Senior Officials meeting which will also took place yesterday.
SADC leaders have deployed troops to the area to deal with terrorism and violent extremism.
