Africa-Press – Mozambique. Services in the operating room at Matola Provincial Hospital (HPM) are temporarily suspended because of a fire that broke out in the department on Thursday afternoon.
Patients requiring urgent surgical intervention are being transferred to either the Maputo Central Hospital or the José Macamo General Hospital, both in Maputo.
Meanwhile, work is underway to restore normal functioning.
Matola is one of the province of Maputo’s most important health units, serving patients from the districts of Matola, Matutuíne, Moamba, Boane and Namaacha.
