The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Integrated Development Agency of the North (ADIN) Armindo Ngunga has reiterated that the Special Agro-Processing Zone of the Pemba-Lichinga Integrated Development Corridor (ZEPA) project will contribute to reducing unemployment in the region.
The ZEPA project aims to boost agricultural production and productivity, processing and exports in the provinces of Niassa, Cabo Delgado and Zambézia, with funding from the African Development Bank.
Armindo Ngunga said that youth will benefit most from the ZEPA project, through the reduction of temptation into criminal acts.
The ADIN’s chairman also affirmed that terrorist activities in Cabo Delgado and Niassa provinces would not stop activities planned for the region going ahead.
