Africa-Press – Mozambique. The U.S. Government launched a $400,000 project with the Civil Society Support Mechanism (MASC) Foundation to increase the capacity of Mozambique’s institutions to impartially adjudicate electoral disputes.

During the two-year project, MASC Foundation will train district judges and prosecutors, in partnership with the Association for Mozambican Jurists and the Legal and Judicial Training Centre, and establish a judicial mentoring service for judges and prosecutors handling electoral disputes.

The project will also engage citizens, political parties, and civil society stakeholders through training workshops, dialogue platforms, online materials, and legal support services.
