Africa-Press – Namibia. OSHANA Governor Elia Irimari has praised the University of Namibia (UNAM) for uniting engineers from various sectors to address fundamental issues of development.
Irimari made these remarks during the three-day International Engineering Conference organized by UNAM, currently underway at the Jose Eduardo dos Santos Campus in Ongwediva.
He also commended UNAM for advancing the understanding of technology and embracing innovation as a focal point.
Irimari expressed hope that the conference would yield meaningful and tangible outcomes.
The inaugural UNAM International Engineering Conference on Sustainable Emerging Innovations and Technological Advancements (UNAM-IEC-2024) is a landmark event that highlights the University of Namibia’s commitment to addressing global engineering challenges and fostering sustainable development.
The conference commenced on 2 December and will conclude on 4 December 2024.
