Africa-Press – Namibia. THE Prime Minister, Dr Tjitunga Elijah Ngurare, has approved the appointment of Ms Linda Nakale née Aipinge as the new Executive Director and Accounting Officer of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT), with effect from 1 January 2026. The appointment follows a recommendation by the Public Service Commission and is made in terms of the Public Service Act, 1995.
The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology announced that Ms Nakale has been appointed on a five-year contract in accordance with Section 5(1), read together with Section 19A(1), of the Act.
Prior to her appointment, Ms Nakale served as Director of Information and Communication Technology Development in the same ministry, a position she has held since 1 June 2016. She joined the Namibian Public Service in January 2000 and has since served in various roles, including Assistant Human Resources Practitioner, Human Resources Practitioner, Efficiency Analyst, Chief Efficiency Analyst, and Deputy Director.
Ms Nakale holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership Development in ICTs and the Knowledge Society from the University of Mauritius. She also obtained a Graduate Diploma in Leadership Development in ICTs and the Knowledge Society from Dublin City University in Ireland, a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Management from the University of South Africa, and a Diploma in Public Administration from the then Polytechnic of Namibia.
