Africa-Press – Namibia. President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah was presented with a commemorative postage stamp by NamPost to mark her inauguration as the fifth President of the Republic of Namibia. She also received a special stamp issued in honour of Former President Dr Nangolo Mbumba. This initiative forms part of NamPost’s long-standing tradition, established in 1990, of issuing stamps to mark the inauguration of each sitting President—symbolising Namibia’s commitment to peaceful democratic transitions.
In her remarks, President Nandi-Ndaitwah thanked NamPost for preserving the legacy of Namibia’s democratic journey and sharing it with the world. She also encouraged NamPost to continue its important role in providing communication and financial services, especially to elderly citizens who rely heavily on its support.
