Africa-Press – Namibia. DEPUTY Mayor of Ondangwa Town, Ester Auala, said the LED & Tourism strategy is not just a plain document; it is a symbol of their collective commitment to growth, resilience, and prosperity.
Auala made the remarks during the Mayoral breakfast and launching of the LED strategy held in Ondangwa on Thursday.
According to Auala, it represents their readiness to work together across all sectors, communities, businesses, and institutions.
“We want to build a future rooted in inclusive and sustainable development,” she said.
She added that when the stakeholders and investors understand the purpose and potential of the LED & Tourism Strategy, it fosters collaboration and strengthens the shared vision for sustainable growth in Ondangwa.
Speaking at the same occasion, Town Chief Executive Officer Ismael Namgongo indicated that they really need to engage with the business sector in the town.
“Ondangwa is fast-growing due to the public-private sector, our business people. Explore the future direction of the town,” he said.
He stressed that as a Council, they are few as leaders in the Town Council and cannot successfully drive development on their own.
