Africa-Press – Namibia. PRESIDENT Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah emphasised that the Namibian Government has created a conducive environment for investors to do business, as long as all business activities are carried out within the bounds of the law.
She made these remarks during a recent courtesy meeting with the management teams of Galp and TotalEnergies, led by Patrick Jean Pouyanné, Chairman and CEO of TotalEnergies, and Paula Amorim, Chairwoman of Galp.
According to the Namibian Presidency, the delegation briefed the President on the merger and partnership between Galp Energies and TotalEnergies, and sought her blessing. The Presidency revealed that President Nandi-Ndaitwah welcomed the partnership and expressed her gratitude for the mutual benefits and ongoing cooperation between the Government of Namibia and the two companies.
“The partnership between the two companies is expected to create much-needed employment opportunities for Namibian youth,” the Presidency added.
