Africa-Press – Namibia. President Nangolo Mbumba says when he assumed office, certain individuals asked him to be appointed as ambassadors.
Mbumba assumed office last month, following the death of former president Hage Geingob.
The president has not disclosed the identities of the individuals who asked him for positions, or when these requests were made.
“Some of you are already saying you want to be appointed as ambassadors,” he says.
He says the ambassadors currently serving and appointed by Geingob will remain in their positions.
Mbumba said this while addressing the leaders of eight northern traditional authorities at Oshakati on Saturday
