Africa-Press – Namibia. Last night (Thursday) at the Wanderers sports grounds, the Namibia Squash Association held prizegiving dinner for the Wanderers Squash business league, which concluded last month.
At the same event, the NSA confirmed the hosting the 2024 Squash Federation of Africa Seniors Championships in Windhoek following confirmation from the Squash Federation of Africa and the Namibia Squash Association.
At the event, Trustco pledged their commitment in supporting the upcoming Squash Federation of Africa Seniors Championships. Trustco pledged a total of N$ 80 000 in support to the NSA for strategic support in organizing the upcoming event. Neville Basson, Head of Public relations and Corporate Communications for the Trustco Group, stated that the long-standing relations with the sport, and their further commitment stems from the sound management and trajectory of the sport in the country.
The continental competition, which sees Africa’s top squash players compete in individual and team events, will take place in the Namibian capital from 18 to 24 November.
The champions of the recently concluded business league, was also crowned earlier in the evening.
The finals of the Wanderers Squash Business League took place at the end of July. The A-League saw The BDO Champs squared off against Trustco in an absolute nail-biter! Franco Lambert and Nicholas Berry treated the crowd to a 5-set thriller, while Le-Hugo van Rooyen and Christof Knoetze kept the crowd on their feet, to become the 2024 business league champions. Trustco stole the show and claimed victory for the season.
