Africa-Press – Namibia. Regional Governor Kadiva Hamutumwa has urged Namibians, especially the youth, to strive for a united, peaceful, and developed Namibia.
Speaking at the 36th independence anniversary celebrations at Helao Nafidi on Saturday, Hamutumwa reflected on Namibia’s journey to independence, highlighting sacrifices made by heroes like Tobias Hainyeko, Nabot Helao Nafidi, and many others.
She encouraged the youth to document and learn from history, thanked Angola for supporting the liberation struggle, and expressed solidarity with Venezuela and Cuba, calling for a unified front against imperialism.
Urban and Rural Development Minister James Sankwasa was the keynote speaker. President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah decentralised Independence Day celebrations to all 14 regions, emphasising unity and shared freedom.
