Africa-Press – Nigeria. Dwayne Johnson called out a Paris museum on Sunday after he became aware of an inaccurate wax figure of himself.
The former wrestler’s wax figure became the object of ridicule when fans noticed that it didn’t match his features and skin tone, making him look lighter than he actually is.
“For the record, I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grévin Museum, in Paris France so we can work at ‘updating’ my wax figure here with some important details and improvements- starting with my skin color,” Johnson wrote on Instagram.

The actor’s wax figure was unveiled at the Grévin Museum on 16 October 2023.
Johnson posted a video on Instagram where comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr. mocks the statue. Johnson’s overall response to the situation has been light-hearted.
In the video, Jefferson Jr. makes funny comments like “You made The Rock look like he David Beckham”, “Is this how y’all felt when you lost the Little Mermaid”, and “It look like The Rock about to be part of the royal family!”
Responding to Deadline, the Grévin Museum wrote:
“Dwayne Johnson is right and we noticed it and will obviously remedy it as quickly as possible and send him new photos once completed… We are waiting for him when he will come to Paris and the Grévin Wax Museum to celebrate that with a cup of champagne.”
