Hamisu Wadume, the suspected kidnap kingpin from Taraba state, has spoken about his source of income

– Wadume said he acquired his wealth through fishing which he has been doing for decades

– The controversial Taraba state suspected kidnapper also denied any kind of involvement in abduction for ransom

The suspected kidnap kingpin who was rescued from Police officers in Taraba state by soldiers of the Nigerian Army has opened up on his source of income.

Premium Times reports that Hamisu Wadume denied any kind of involvement in kidnapping for ransom.

Stating that the Police was wrong in categorising him as a kidnap kingpin in Taraba state, Wadume said he acquired his wealth through fishing which he has been doing for decades.

Sources present during Wadume’s initial interrogation with the Police at the Force Headquarters said the suspect admitted to being involved in “419” business.

The source said: “But he also admitted to being a 419 by deceiving people with traditional medicine to get millions from them, he insisted that he was not involved in kidnapping and the 419 was only a fraction of his large wealth.”
