Africa-Press – Nigeria. Rev Fr Bobbo Paschal, Parish Priest of St Stephen Parish, Kushe Gugbu in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has been kidnapped by suspected terrorists.
The incident occurred on Monday morning when the criminals attacked the area and seized the priest from his residence.
The Archdiocese of Kaduna announced the incident in a statement issued and made available to reporters by its Chancellor, Rev Fr Christian Okewu Emmanuel.
According to the statement, a brother to Rev Fr Anthony Yero was murdered by the terrorists during the attack.
Okewu also confirmed that several other persons were whisked away to unknown destinations by the assailants.
This comes amid claims that Christians in Nigeria are being persecuted by Islamic extremists under alleged Christian genocide.
Although the Nigerian government has dismissed the claim, some US lawmakers, including President Donald Trump, have insisted that Christians are being persecuted in Nigeria.
