Africa-Press – Nigeria. A Magistrates’ Court in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, has ordered two men, John Simon and Yusuf Nikie, to be remanded in a correctional facility after they pleaded guilty to stealing a motorcycle.

The presiding judge, Michael Bawa, however, reserved sentence until May 2.

The duo had been charged by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, with criminal conspiracy and theft, contrary to sections 58 and 270 of the Kaduna State Penal Code Law.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Marcus Audu, informed the court that the complainant, Tanko Umaru, reported the matter at the Corp’s office in Kafanchan on April 13.

Audu said the defendants went into the complainant’s house at Bakin Kogi and made away with his Bajaj motorcycle.

He noted that during the course of investigation, the defendants were arrested and found in possession of the motorcycle.
