Africa-Press – Nigeria. A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Joe Igbokwe, has alleged that Ndigbos are behind the deteriorating security situation in the South-East.
In a post on his official Facebook page on Thursday, Igbokwe exonerated Fulani herdsmen, who have been accused of perpetrating the killings and kidnappings in the region.
He wrote, “The blatant and pathological lies about the killings and destruction in the South East can no longer stand.
“It is Igbo killing Igbo, it is Igbo destroying Igboland and putting the blame on Hausa/Fulani Herdsmen. This is not our culture. This is sad.”
DAILY POST reports that the security crisis in the South-East soared recently, with several persons killed in Imo, Anambra and other states.
An Anambra businessman, Ifesinachi Onyekere, widely known as “Fish Magnet”, was found dead on Wednesday, days after he was kidnapped from his residence in the Ezinifite community in Okpuno, Awka South LGA of Anambra State.
Meanwhile, social media critic Martins Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan, has vowed to storm Anambra State for a candlelight procession for the late fish farmer.
