Africa-Press – Nigeria. Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has praised the peaceful conduct of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ward congresses which held across Kwara State, saying the exercise proved the party is prepared to return to power.
In a statement signed by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Saraki said the congresses across the state’s 193 wards reflected unity and internal democracy within the PDP.
“The congresses once again demonstrated the growing strength of our party in Kwara,” Saraki said.
“The transparent and consensus-driven process showed our collective resolve to work together in harmony and position the PDP as a credible alternative to lead the state again.”
He congratulated the newly elected ward executives, urging them to see their positions as a call to serve the people.
Saraki noted that the new ward leaders face a significant responsibility, urging them to act as unifiers, mobilizers, and genuine voices for the people’s aspirations.
He emphasized that their dedication at the grassroots level would shape the overall strength and progress of the party.
Saraki also reassured party members of his support and called on stakeholders to remain united as the PDP prepares for future elections.
