Africa-Press – Nigeria. Osun State Governor, Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has been screened and cleared to participate in the Accord Party governorship primary taking place today in Osogbo.
The cchairman of the Screening Committee and the party’s National Organising Secretary, Elder Ibe Thankgod, confirmed the development, stating that Governor Adeleke fulfilled all requirements necessary for nomination and participation in the exercise.
Thankgod explained that the committee thoroughly examined all documents submitted by the governor and subsequently certified him as the sole aspirant for the party’s governorship ticket.
He added that all mandatory documentation with relevant authorities had also been completed.
After the screening, Elder Thankgod presented the Certificate of Clearance to Governor Adeleke, describing him as a credible and capable aspirant with the capacity to lead the Accord Party to victory.
In his response, Governor Adeleke thanked the committee and the party leadership for their confidence in him, reiterating his preparedness for both the primary election and the 2026 governorship contest.
“I am ready for the primary, and I am ready for the general elections. We are winning by God’s grace,” he said.
Other members of the screening committee included Abdurahaman Muhammed, Abdulahi Sani Muhammed, and Mrs Awogbade Rachael.
