Africa-Press – Nigeria. The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State has officially inaugurated 36 newly elected members of its State Executive Council, with Alhaji Muhammad Hassan Tilde serving as State Chairman.
The swearing-in ceremony took place on Wednesday at the party’s State Secretariat, where Barr. Abdulmumini Adamu administered the oath of office and presented certificates to the executives.
Out of the 36 officials, 29 were sworn in, while seven were absent due to travel commitments, including one in Saudi Arabia and others attending the party’s zonal congress in Gombe State.
The remaining officials are expected to take their oaths ahead of the party’s national convention.
Present at the ceremony were key executives, including State Secretary Mustapha Zurami, Zonal Vice Chairmen Yusuf Kawu Gana II and Ibrahim Ahmad (Zone III), Legal Adviser Barr. Rabiu Garba, Assistant Legal Adviser Mohammed A. Umar, State Treasurer Ahmed Abubakar Yaro, Financial Secretary Bilya Usman Burna,
Others are: Assistant Financial Secretary Lamara Ahmad Jajo, State Organising Secretary Alhaji Yahaya Muhammad, Auditor Ayuba Musa, Publicity Secretary Shehu Dauda Mohammed, State Welfare Secretary Ibrahim Gambo, and State Women Leader Rabi Musa, among others.
Speaking on behalf of the newly inaugurated executives, Chairman Tilde pledged to justify the confidence placed in them and provide responsible, God-fearing leadership.
He urged committee members to adhere strictly to party rules, perform their duties with integrity, and promote inclusiveness within the party.
Tilde also called on APC members across the state to support the new leadership, especially as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.
He reiterated the importance of reconciliation and integration of party members, while vowing to work toward securing electoral victories for APC at all levels, including the presidency, governorship, National Assembly, and State Assembly.
He further encouraged party faithful to mobilise residents to ensure the party’s continued success.
