APGA Members Urge Soludo to Justify Trust in Government

Africa-Press – Nigeria. Members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA and supporters of Governor Chukwuma Soludo have urged him to redouble efforts in developing all parts of the state, to justify the trust bestowed on him by Anambra people following his re-election in the recent governorship poll.

The supporters from Nteje community in Oyi Local Government Area gathered at the palace of their traditional ruler-elect, Chief Chris Nnebo to celebrate Soludo’s victory, saying it was well deserved.

The Igwe-elect, Nnebo, who spoke with journalists at the event said, “The governor has done well, and that is why the entire Anambra voted him last two weeks.

“Our only charge to him is to maintain the tempo of his works and even step it up to justify the trust that Anambra people have for him which made them to re-elect him. We are also urging him to carry everyone along in his victory.”

Earlier, while addressing the supporters he stated that: “We are gathered here to celebrate the victory of the governor in last two Saturday’s election. We are not just his supporters but members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA,

“I called you here not just for us to celebrate, but to thank you for how hard you fought to ensure that the entire Nteje, which consists of five wards and 63 polling units voted for APGA.”

An aide of the governor, Chief Chidiebele Obika who is a Senior Special Assistant to Soludo on Media, and who hails from Nteje hailed him for his numerous projects in the community, while outlining several other road projects which he appealed to the governor to look into.

He said: “We have five political wards in Nteje community, and 63 polling units. It may interest you to know that Nteje people voted for Soludo in all the five words and all the 63 polling units. Not even one was won by any other party.

“Our brother from neighbouring Umueri community was in the race, and he fought so hard, but Nteje people insisted on voting for APGA, which is Mr Governor’s party. So in thanking them for that, we decided to call our people to the home of our leader, Chief Chris Nnebo, who is the leader of our party in this community, and has also been elected the Igwe, so that we can thank our people.”
