Africa-Press – Nigeria. The trial of Eze Ndigbo of Ajao Estate, Lagos State, Frederick Nwajagu, was stalled on Tuesday due to the absence of his counsel.

Nwajagu, standing trial before a Lagos High Court sitting at the Tafawa Balewa Square, was arraigned by the Lagos State government on May 9 on a nine-count charge, bordering on an attempt to commit terrorism, involvement in terrorism and meeting to support a proscribed entity.

The Department of State Services (DSS) had arrested Nwajagu for threatening to invite members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to Lagos.

Nwajagu who claimed that IPOB members would help protect the properties of Igbos in Lagos State, pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him.

Justice Yetunde Adesanya adjourned the case until Wednesday.
