Africa-Press – Nigeria. No fewer than 41 vessels carrying petroleum products, food commodities and other assorted cargoes are scheduled to berth at Apapa, Tin Can Island and Lekki Deep Sea ports in Lagos between January 2nd and 5th.

The Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, disclosed this in its latest Shipping Position report, which was obtained by journalists in Lagos on Friday.

According to the document, the vessels are expected to arrive between January 2 and January 5, bringing in a wide range of cargoes critical to the nation’s economy.

The NPA listed the consignments to include crude oil, condensate, aviation fuel, diesel, petrol, bulk bitumen, bulk salt, bulk soya beans, fresh fish, wall pallets, containers and other general cargo.

The authority also revealed that 10 vessels, including tankers, had already reached the three ports and were awaiting berthing approval.

These ships are laden with diesel, crude oil, aviation fuel, bulk urea, fresh fish, crude palm olein, bulk sugar, containers and general merchandise.
