Africa-Press – Nigeria. The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested three notorious drug dealers during coordinated intelligence-led raids across the state.
Spokesman of the command, SP Shiisu Lawan Adam, confirmed the arrests in a statement issued to newsmen.
He said the operations, conducted on October 18, 2025, led to the capture of suspects who had long been on the police radar for their involvement in the distribution of illicit substances within Jigawa State and beyond.
SP Shiisu explained that during the raids, officers recovered assorted illicit drugs.
The recovered items included Exol (13,505), D5 (1,583), Tramadol (3,572), Diazepam (565), Rubber Solution (2,469), Cannabis (Indian Hemp) block and 886 wraps, Suck and Die, Akuskura, Farin Malam (340), and other assorted hard drugs and intoxicating substances (1,042).
The arrested suspects were identified as Muhammad Garba, Musa Garba, and Hudu Ma’ilu, all of Guneri village, Malamawa district, Niger Republic.
He stated that the suspects are currently in custody and undergoing thorough investigation, and will be charged in court upon conclusion of preliminary inquiries.
The Commissioner of Police commended the gallant efforts of the officers involved and reiterated the command’s zero-tolerance stance against drug-related crimes.
He also urged members of the public to continue supporting law enforcement by providing timely and credible information to aid in the identification and apprehension of criminal elements.
