Africa-Press – Nigeria. Amazons of Benin Republic head coach, Abdoulaye Ouzerou has admitted that his team is on a difficult mission in Nigeria.

Benin Republic will be up against their neighbours in the second leg of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture in Abeokuta on Tuesday (today).

The Amazons lost the first leg 2-0 to the multiple African champions last week in Lome.

They must score at least three goals without conceding to qualify for the WAFCON 2026 finals.

Ouzerou is aware the Super Falcons will be out to win on their soil.

“When the Super Falcons play, their mindset is to win, that’s what champions do. We know they’ll want to make their fans happy after winning the WAFCON. For us, the target is to keep improving and hopefully qualify for the next WAFCON,” he told reporters ahead of the game.
