Africa-Press – Rwanda. It was a fair weekend for Rwandan players abroad as former Arsenal winger George Lewis Ishimwe scored for his new team Strindheim Toppfotbol while Josias King Furaha was also on target in Norway.

Elsewhere, Rafael York made his debut for new club Oddevold as he was brought on in the second half in their 1-0 loss to Orgyte.

Buhake and Ishimwe shine in Norway

Winger George Lewis Ishimwe scored a 64th minute consolation goal from the spot for his new club Strindheim Toppfotbol Club as they lost 4-1 to Ull/Kisa in the Norwegian third tier league on Saturday. Goalkeeper Clement Twizere Buhake was in the posts for Ull/Kisa and pulled a host of great saves.

Furaha on target as FK Jerv thrash Brann

In the second league, Josias King-Furaha continued his fine form for FK Jerv as he scored the second goal in their 4-2 win over Brann. Jerv is now 3rd on the table with 24 points from 14 games.

Kwizera dazzles despite Rhode Island draw

Winger Jojea Kwizera played full throttle for Rhode Island FC on Saturday as they drew 0-0 with Hartford Athletic in the American USL. He was outstanding on the left flank as he mesmerized the opposing defenders.

Ngabo makes second appearance for BK Hacken

Defensive midfielder Sanders Ngabo replaced 19-year-old Sigge Janson as his team BK Hacken played goalless draw with Halmstad BK in the Swedish top tier league on Sunday, July 20. It was his second game since being signed from AC Horsens.

York makes Oddevold debut

Rafael York made his debut for Oddevold on Saturday, replacing Oscar Iglicar in the 64th minute in club’s 1-0 loss to Orgyte in the Swedish second tier league.

Club friendlies

Samuel Guelette had a good game at the heart of midfield but his side Raal La Louviere lost 2-1 to Lokeren in a preseason friendly on July 19.

Hakim Sahabo featured for Standard Liege who defeated RAEC Mons in a preseason friendly on Thursday.

In the Netherlands, Noam Emeran saw full-time action for Groningen, who lost 2-1 to NEC in a preseason friendly on Saturday.
