The National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA) has released the travel schedule for students returning to schools across various districts.

Students attending school in Nyamagabe, Nyanza, Nyamasheke, Rusizi, Musanze, Rwamagana, and Kayonza will be the first to travel back to school on Friday, September 6.

On Saturday, September 7, will be the turn for students attending schools in Nyaruguru, Gisagara, Burera, Rubavu, Nyabihu, Gatsibo, and Nyagatare districts.

The following day, Sunday, September 8, students of school located in the districts of Ruhango, Huye, Rulindo, Gakenke, Karongi, Rutsiro, Ngoma, and Kirehe will make their way to school.

Monday will see the students attending schools in Nyarugenge, Gasabo, Kicukiro, Muhanga, Kamonyi, Gicumbi, Ngororero, and Bugesera districts return to their respective schools.

Local authorities are required to monitor the activities of returning students and encourage parents within their communities to ensure their children are sent off according to the announced dates, NESA said.

Parents are urged to send their children to school early in the morning to ensure timely arrival, ensuring they wear their school uniforms and have an adequate transport fare.

Additionally, students traveling by bus through Kigali were reminded to carry travel cards.

To transport students traveling from or through Kigali to other provinces, buses will be available at the Pele Stadium in Nyamirambo, which be closed at 3PM every day.

School leaders are also expected to be well-prepared to receive students, ensuring cleanliness and that necessary food supplies are available upon their arrival.
