Africa-Press – Rwanda. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olivier Nduhungirehe has placed youth engagement and cultural exchange at the center of his official visit to Liberia this week.
On Thursday, September 11, Nduhungirehe toured the National Museum of Liberia in Monrovia, where he reflected on the country’s history and emphasised the role of culture in building stronger bilateral ties.
He also met young Liberians who studied in Rwanda, urging them to use their experiences in Kigali to contribute to their country’s development while reinforcing the personal connections that link the two nations.
The minister later held talks with Monrovia Mayor John-Charuk Sifa on deepening cooperation between the two capitals, and with Senator Abraham Darius Dillon, chair of Liberia’s Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, to discuss the role of parliamentary diplomacy in advancing long-term cooperation.
Earlier in the week, Rwanda and Liberia signed agreements covering visa-free travel, parliamentary cooperation, urban development, and security.
