Africa-Press – Rwanda. Lycée de Kigali (LDK), one of the leading public schools in Rwanda, on Saturday, June 8, celebrated its 50th anniversary.
The colourful event attracted hundreds of current and former students, parents, government officials, Minister of Education Gaspard Twagirayezu and Catholic Church leaders, including Cardinal Antoine Kambanda.
The school was founded by the French government in 1974, is run by the Marist Brothers of the Catholic Church since mid-2022. Lycée de Kigali is a mixed high school with a reputation for attracting some of the best-performing students from primary schools across the country.
