Mukamusonera rejoins AS Kigali women as head coach

Africa-Press – Rwanda. Theogenie Mukamusonera has been appointed as head coach of AS Kigali Women Football Club, replacing Radjab Bizumuremyi who recently signed for Rutsiro FC as head coach.

Mukamusonera returns to the club that she last coached during the 2023/2024 season. During her first spell, she guided the team to two league titles and two peace cups and the super cup.

Until her reappointment, she was coaching Nyaruguru women FC. She also previously coached Les Lionnes de Mutunda in the women’s topflight league.

Mukamusonera, 35, played for ASPEJ Secondary School before starting a career in coaching as the coach of Gatenga-based Don Bosco girls’ team.

Her skills in football enabled her to land a three-month coaching clinic in Germany, and this is where she started honing her skills in coaching, in 2008.

She also captained AS Kigali women team, and 2009 and 2012.

Useni Kiza joins Hungarian club

Congolese striker Useni Kiza Seraphin has joined Hungarian giants ETO FC Győr from Amagaju FC on a two-year deal. After signing, he was immediately loaned to Slovakia’s FC STK Samorín for a year.

Kiza was named 2024-25 RPL Young Player of the Season, after scoring 11 goals with 6 assists for Amagaju FC in 25 games.

Meanwhile, Moise Nyarugabo has joined Marines FC from Bugesera FC on a two-year deal.
