Hotpoint Appliances Rwanda, a leading name in the consumer electronics and home appliances distribution, has opened its new retail showroom in Kicukiro District, under the new brand name HOMEPOINT. The modern showroom, located in Kicukiro, officially opened its doors on July 9 and is set to become a benchmark in electronics retail nationwide.

The inauguration was attended by the Ambassador of Zimbabwe to Rwanda, Prof. Charity Manyeruke, who was the guest of honour, Second Secretary – High Commission of India in Rwanda, Abinash Kumar Rao, several industry leaders, and invited guests who witnessed varieties of modern electronic products and exceptional service the showroom provides.

According to Manoj Skariah, Managing Director of Hotpoint Appliances Rwanda Ltd, HOMEPOINT Kicukiro showcases an expansive portfolio including the latest televisions, kitchen and home appliances, built-in appliances, audio systems, and many more.

“We are thrilled to bring this world-class showroom to Kigali. Our mission is to provide customers a superior retail experience, combining quality, affordability, expert advice, and unmatched after-sales support,” he noted.

As noted, Hotpoint Rwanda, operating under the HOMEPOINT retail banner, will continue to set itself apart by providing direct-from-brand electronics to ensure authenticity, competitive pricing and full warranty coverage.

The company’s curated brand lineup also includes global leaders such as LG, Samsung, Kenwood, Black+Decker, Braun, VON, DeLonghi, Ariete and Hisense.

New additions and innovations

The company has added several new distribution brands such as Haier (Major home appliances), Brabantia (household products from the Netherlands), and Symphony (Cooling solutions from India). The move aims to diversify its offerings and respond to evolving customer needs.

Luxury pre-formed swimming pool tools

As explained, Hotpoint Rwanda is also entering the luxury outdoor living segment through an exciting new partnership with Absolute Pools, a renowned UK-based company specialising in modern, pre-formed swimming pools.

With decades of experience and prestigious projects worldwide, Absolute Pools brings innovative solutions to transform urban living in Rwanda.

“This new venture will introduce durable, cost-effective, and easy-to-install pre-formed pools that overcome the limitations and high costs of traditional concrete pools. It is designed for longevity, style, and low maintenance. These pools provide a luxurious upgrade for residential and commercial properties alike. The official launch is planned for Q4 2025,” he noted.

The company was founded in 2010 with just two employees. It now employs over 40 staff members, under the leadership of Murli Menon, the CEO.
