Bugesera FC skipper Adams insists Etoile clash is a do-or-die

Africa-Press – Rwanda. Bugesera FC captain Vincent Adams says they cannot afford to falter on Saturday, May 11, when they visit Etoile de l’Est in season-defining Primus National League match that will decide their fate.

The game means a lot to both clubs and any slip-up can effectively send either side to the second division.

Etoile are 13th on the league table with 31 points whereas Bugesera are 15th with 29. What makes the duel dicey for Bugesera FC is that other relegation-threatened teams namely Sunrise FC and Gorilla FC are all playing at home and could get the three points at stake.

But Adams remains confident that his side stands a chance to beat Etoile away from home and avoid relegation.

” We find ourselves in a tight corner but football defies logic. We need to beat Etoile in Ngoma to stand a chance of staying in the league,” Adams told Times Sport.

“We need to go all out and play like wounded lions. Etoile are also not safe either, they will come strongly but we must overcome them.”

Adams further mentioned that they have to be clinical upfront and stay tight by defending as a unit.

“We need to be prolific and defend as a team. This is a tough game but I believe we will sail through. We showed that in the Peace Cup and we can do that again,” the former Mukura VS added.

Though Bugesera FC have been poor in the league, Adams has been outstanding in the middle of the pitch and has been among club’s best performers this season alongside league joint top scorer Elijah Ani.
