Africa-Press – Rwanda. High-flying Etoile de l’Est will face Intare FC in the quarter finals of the second division league.
Étoile booked their ticket to the last eight after an impressive regular season where they finished at the top of Group A ahead of Vision FC, Ivoire Olympique and AS Muhanga.
The Eastern Province-based side was as a result drawn against Intare FC who finished fourth in Group B of the regular season as per the playoffs draw format of the football governing body (FERWAFA).
Meanwhile, Amagaju FC , who finished six points clear at the top of Group B, will play last season’s semi-finalists AS Muhanga in the quarter-finals while Group A third-placed Ivoire Olympique who will take on Gicumbi FC.
Vision FC will play Nyanza FC in another quarter final fixture to watch.
Four quarter finals winning teams will play between them in a small championship, (home and away) and the top two teams with most points will be promoted to the 2023/24 Rwanda Premier League.
